Caco works to produce experiences that are both interactive and engaging in the physical and virtual world. Away from the computer he spends his time gardening and reading books on maths.
“I remember the feeling as a kid of watching a low resolution Thylacine walking around its cage and asking myself, how can this animal be alive in a video and not in the world? Watching the video today still makes me feel the same way. Now I have a better understanding of the factors that go into extinction. This work is the unpacking of that. I am taking advantage of my interest and abilities in representation to make a place for animals like the Thylacine, animals who are gone. This is Futuring : A Zoo For Extinct Animals.”
